FALLS CHURCH, Va. ,— June 19, 2017. SMRC, under 8(a) Joint Venture (JV) Digital Mindtrust (DMT), has been awarded the contract for GSA STARS II IDIQ. This contract under the General Services Administration (GSA), within the Office of Assisted Acquisition Services, will provide Streamlined Technology Acquisitioned Resources for Services (STARS) II Open Season. These services will be carried out for 5 years.

SMRC’s growing IT Division will supply information technology (IT) services, IT services- based solutions, and ancillary services based on best practices from our NOAALink Prime IDIQ. They shall also provide management, supervision, labor, facilities, and materials necessary to perform on a task order basis.

SMRC Awarded NOAALink TO Supporting NWS CHPS

FALLS CHURCH, Va. ,— June 19, 2017. SMRC is awarded a contract from the National Weather Service (NWS) to aid NOAALink and provide operational support for the Community Hydrologic Protection System (CHPS). These services will be provided for 3 years at the Duty Station of the Hydrology Support Group (HSG), which is also the headquarters of the National Weather Service, located in Silver Spring, MD.

As a prime contractor on our first NOAALINK Task Order Award, SMRC is excited to assist these efforts at the National Weather Service’s (NWS) 13 River Forecast Centers (RFCs) to perform the flood and water resources modeling and forecasting services. The objective of this task it to support and supplement CHPS “help desk” functions performed by the Hydrology Support Group (HSG) in the Office of Central Processing (OCP) Field Support and Infrastructure Team (FSIT).

Specifically, SMRC will be providing services in accordance to the operating plan goal of the NWS to supply constant support to address operational issues related to AWIPS and CHPS hydrologic software at 13 RFCs and 122 WFOs.

SMRC Wins $10.9M PMO, Systems Engineering & Technical Support Contract Supporting NOAA NESDIS

STERLING, VA, — May 21, 2015. As a legacy partner of the Department of Commerce (DOC) National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), SMRC is excited to announce its latest contract award providing Project Management Office and Engineering Management Services (POEMS) for the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). Under this prime Small Business (SB) contract valued at $10.9M over five years, SMRC will manage all Program Management Office (PMO), Systems Engineering, and Technical Support requirements across NOAA locations in Suitland, Maryland; Wallops Virginia; Fairmont, West Virginia; and Fairbanks, Alaska.

Along with strategic partner, Washington Consulting, Inc.(WCI), our PMO will provide high-quality Program Office Support for the Environmental Satellite Processing and Distribution System (ESPDS); maintain PMO processes and products; and meet mission operational requirements for both Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellites (POES) and Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) programs.

SMRC Engineers are responsible for formulating agreements between ESPDS and NOAA offices; maintaining a secure IT environment; and coordinating new work assignment implementation. Additionally, our team will utilize the Product Distribution and Access (PDA) system to fulfill Joint Polar System Satellite (JPSS) needs and develop product generation capability for NPOESS Data Exploitation (NDE) 2.0, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), and other research to operations satellite missions.

SMRC Awarded New Accounting Support Services Contract at Department of Commerce

Sterling, VA., – April, 2015, SMRC has received a new contract to provide Accounting Support Services to the Department of Commerce (DOC) United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) Office of Finance (OOF) Receipts Accounting Division (RAD). RAD serves as the central coordinator for the USPTO and has a wide range of responsibilities that range from reconciling and depositing of fees to responding to a variety of customer inquiries.

SMRC is responsible for resolving daily invoice payment related issues/problems and communicate with program offices and vendors to troubleshoot complex financial system issues.

SMRC Announces Exciting New DOT FAA Contract Award

Sterling, VA., – April, 2015, SMRC announces its latest contract award supporting the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Civil Aviation Medical Institute (CAMI) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We are excited to support this new $9 million, 3-year, prime contract award supporting the Aerospace Medical Certification Division (AMCD), which is primarily concerned with the elements that effect the human flight. They set the standard in safety in it Aerospace Medical Certification Program of over 620,000 U.S. pilot holders.

SMRC services include medical application processing, FOIA support, call center services, document preparation and scanning, and mail and distribution services.

SMRC Recognized as a Top 50 Fastest Growing Asian American Business

In June, the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) recognized S M Resources Corporation (SMRC) as one of its 2013 “Fast 50 Asian American Businesses.” The announcement was made at the CelebrAsian Procurement Opportunity Conference in Garden Grove, California.

SMRC Awarded $10M U.S. Army Contract for Environmental Sciences Support

Ashburn, VA, April 5, 2013 — The U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD has awarded S M Resources Corporation a three-year, $10 million contract for ongoing environmental, safety, health, and research services.

SMRC has been supporting ECBC since 2011. This contract will enable SMRC to continue its support conducting sample collection analyses, site inspections, and scientific research of chemical and biological agents.

SMRC Awarded $9.6M Federal Contract by U.S. Department of State

Ashburn, VA, October 16, 2012 – The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has awarded SMRC a $9,622,974.40 prime contract to provide translation, editing, and original copy writing services. This was an 8(a) Competitive Set-Aside Award. SMRC will support the Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) for multimedia and print outreach in multiple languages, including Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Urdu, Turkish, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian. The contract covers a base year, plus four option years.

In response to the contract award, SMRC’s CEO Neelu Modali said, “Considering the information being translated directly impacts the success of our country’s foreign policy  initiatives, I am pleased the Department of State recognizes SMRC as the company best suited to support this critical mission.”
