SMRC Awarded New Accounting Support Services Contract at Department of Commerce

Sterling, VA., – April, 2015, SMRC has received a new contract to provide Accounting Support Services to the Department of Commerce (DOC) United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) Office of Finance (OOF) Receipts Accounting Division (RAD). RAD serves as the central coordinator for the USPTO and has a wide range of responsibilities that range from reconciling and depositing of fees to responding to a variety of customer inquiries.

SMRC is responsible for resolving daily invoice payment related issues/problems and communicate with program offices and vendors to troubleshoot complex financial system issues.

SMRC looks forward to expanding its presence at USPTO. According to President, Neelu Modali, “USPTO is a priority customer, and we are happy to expand our services on this second contract supporting the OOF RAD.

SMRC Announces Exciting New DOT FAA Contract Award

Sterling, VA., – April, 2015, SMRC announces its latest contract award supporting the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Civil Aviation Medical Institute (CAMI) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We are excited to support this new $9 million, 3-year, prime contract award supporting the Aerospace Medical Certification Division (AMCD), which is primarily concerned with the elements that effect the human flight. They set the standard in safety in it Aerospace Medical Certification Program of over 620,000 U.S. pilot holders.

SMRC services include medical application processing, FOIA support, call center services, document preparation and scanning, and mail and distribution services.

SMRC Selected as Finalist for 2014 SECAF Government Contractor of the Year Award

SMRC Ranks 31st on Washington Technology Magazine’s 2013 Fast 50 List

Today, Washington Technology magazine recognized SMRC as one of the region’s fastest growing small-business government contractors in its 2013 Fast 50 list.

In five years, SMRC’s annual revenues increased eightfold from $1.1 million in 2008 to $8.9 million in 2012.  SMRC’s annual growth rate of 66.8 percent landed the organization at the number 31 spot on the list.  This is the first year Washington Technology recognized SMRC.

SMRC Recognized as a Top 50 Fastest Growing Asian American Business

In June, the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) recognized S M Resources Corporation (SMRC) as one of its 2013 “Fast 50 Asian American Businesses.” The announcement was made at the CelebrAsian Procurement Opportunity Conference in Garden Grove, California.

SMRC President and CEO Neelu Modali attended to personally accept a plaque of recognition and stated, “we are honored to be chosen as a recipient of this prestigious award. This recognizes the success SMRC has experienced and demonstrates our commitment to a long and prosperous future for the company.”

The USPAACC Education Foundation is a non-profit that exists to represent Asian American and Asian American-related groups. Their goal through this award is to recognize and continue to drive Asian American businesses towards goals of economic prosperity and achievement.

Awardees were chosen from a nationwide search for companies with a majority ownership by Asian Americans and at least $1 million in revenue for the previous three fiscal years. Companies were identified from industries including supply chain management; healthcare; professional staffing; food wholesale; IT; environmental; green energy; and media.

Selecting SMRC marks a milestone in the company’s long-standing record of achievement. This is the first time SMRC has received this award.

SMRC Awarded $10M U.S. Army Contract for Environmental Sciences Support

Ashburn, VA, April 5, 2013 — The U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD has awarded S M Resources Corporation a three-year, $10 million contract for ongoing environmental, safety, health, and research services.

SMRC has been supporting ECBC since 2011. This contract will enable SMRC to continue its support conducting sample collection analyses, site inspections, and scientific research of chemical and biological agents.

This contract is the first award since SMRC graduated from the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) program. “With SMRC’s long-established expertise in the scientific community, this award marks a new era of growth and maturity in the company,” said Neelu Modali, President and CEO. “By partnering with notable, small and large companies, we honor the promise we make to all our clients, a promise of continuing innovation from the brightest minds in the workforce.”

SMRC Awarded $9.6M Federal Contract by U.S. Department of State

Ashburn, VA, October 16, 2012 – The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has awarded SMRC a $9,622,974.40 prime contract to provide translation, editing, and original copy writing services. This was an 8(a) Competitive Set-Aside Award. SMRC will support the Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) for multimedia and print outreach in multiple languages, including Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Urdu, Turkish, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian. The contract covers a base year, plus four option years.

In response to the contract award, SMRC’s CEO Neelu Modali said, “Considering the information being translated directly impacts the success of our country’s foreign policy  initiatives, I am pleased the Department of State recognizes SMRC as the company best suited to support this critical mission.”

SMRC Awarded 5-Year, $3.2m Support Services Contract

SMRC eligible to compete for CIO-SP3 Task Orders for 10 years

Ashburn, VA, MAY 25, 2012 – SMRC, as part of the Wyle Team, was awarded the Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) contract vehicle by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Assessment and Acquisition Center (NITACC).

The contract replaces CIO-SP2i and offers a new round of awardees with the opportunity to seize the vehicle’s status as a Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) and use it as a mechanism to conduct business in the federal market.
